Jon Capps:
Jon Capps:
I strongly oppose creating a constitutional right to abortion or using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion. Nebraska should continue to protect unborn children and support policies that strengthen mothers, families, and adoption. Every human life has inherent dignity and deserves legal protection.
Jon Capps:
I support protecting girls’ sports and private spaces. Allowing biological males to compete in girls’ athletics undermines fairness and the purpose of Title IX. Women and girls deserve equal opportunity, safety, and privacy in sports, restrooms, and locker rooms.
Jon Capps:
Parents, not government, are the primary authority in the upbringing of their children. I support strong parental rights, including full transparency in schools and the ability of parents to guide their children’s education on sensitive topics such as sexuality and gender identity.
Jon Capps:
Parents deserve the freedom to choose the educational environment that best serves their child. I support school choice policies that empower families while strengthening educational opportunity for every student. Parents should never be forced into a one-size-fits-all education system.
Jon Capps:
Religious freedom is a foundational constitutional right. I support protecting individuals, churches, schools, and businesses from government discrimination based on sincerely held beliefs about marriage, family, and human sexuality.
Jon Capps:
I do not support legalizing recreational marijuana. States that have legalized it have experienced increased youth access, impaired driving, and public safety concerns. Nebraska should prioritize the health and safety of families and communities.
Jon Capps:
I oppose expanding gambling to include statewide online sports betting. Easy access to mobile gambling increases addiction risk and financial harm for families. Public policy should protect communities rather than expand opportunities for predatory gambling.
