1 BORN-ALIVE ABORTION SURVIVORS PROTECTION ACT
Do you support legislation requiring life-saving care for babies born alive after a failed abortion attempt?

No Position

"Abortion is not allowed after 20 weeks of gestation in the State of Nebraska, there is zero chance of survival for an aborted fetus at only 20 weeks. This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist."

2 TAXPAYER-FUNDED ABORTION
Do you support giving taxpayer dollars to organizations that perform or refer for abortion?

Eric Moyer:

Yes

I believe any proposed restrictions should only be considered on a case by case basis.

3 PROTECT GIRLS’ SPORTS & SPACES
Do you support legislation prohibiting men from playing in girls’ sports and using women’s restrooms and locker rooms?

Eric Moyer:

In my opinion, this argument is a dog whistle for the persecution of transgender or non-binary persons. The greatest threat to women and girls is documented to be cis-gendered, straight presenting males. I reject this fallacy and respect the statistical improbability of trans persons as perpetrators. Therefore, I will most definitely not support legislation to protect girls sports and spaces.

4 TRANSGENDER SURGERIES FOR MINORS
Do you support allowing sex-change surgeries to be performed on children?

No Position

One in 150,000 thousand persons is born inter-sexed, this is a genetically verifiable medical condition which such legislation could block treatment.

5 PARENTAL RIGHTS
Do you support the right of parents to control what their child is taught in the classroom, including on topics like sexual orientation and gender identity?

No Position

I respect parental rights and the decision to abstain from sexual education so long as it does not prohibit access for others. Should these religious concerns extend beyond curriculum, I do NOT suppor

Do you support protecting sincerely held religious beliefs and practices about marriage, family, and sexuality from government discrimination?

Eric Moyer:

Yes

So long as those beliefs do not violate the law or impose restrictions on the free practice of religion for others.

7 ORIGINALISM
Do you believe the judiciary branch should uphold the rule of law and interpret the U.S. Constitution according to what the text says?

Eric Moyer:

The constitution is a LIVING document and malleable; this was framers' intent. It is my view that originalism violates the spirit of the document and contradict the intentions of the authors.
