Regarding net neutrality, Senator Fischer responded to a constituent question on December 3, 2017 saying, "We must work to find bipartisan solutions to increase access to the internet. I am concerned, however, that increased government regulation could stifle innovation and harm competition." Following the December 17, 2017 FCC vote to repeal net neutrality, Senator Fischer said, "I believe we can preserve the core values of an open and accessible internet while supporting innovation, but congressional input is necessary to accomplish these goals," Fischer said. "I am open to legislative efforts to ensure we maintain an open internet, and I look forward to working with my colleagues from both sides on this issue."
